Referral Options.
You do not need a referral to see a Psychologist.
A number of referral pathways are available at Psych Up Therapies and are outlined below. If you are unsure as to which referral is most suited to you, please contact us and we can assist you with understanding and obtaining the most suitable referral.

Better Access to Mental Health.
MENTAL HEALTH CARE PLAN.
The plan has details of your symptoms, a diagnosis, the current issues you are going through and some background about you.
The plan is completed by your doctor and provides Medicare Rebates for an initial 6 Individual Sessions and 10 Group Sessions of psychological treatment and counselling.
Upon completion of the initial 6 Individual Sessions, you may receive another 4 Sessions of individual psychological treatment. This means that you are able to access a up to 10 rebatable Individual and 10 rebatable Group Sessions per calendar year.

DVA
White and Gold card.
Our service provides support to veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). This means that if you hold a DVA WHITE or GOLD card you are entitled to 10 sessions with no financial cost to yourself. To access this service, you will require a DVA referral form from your GP or other medical professional. Some limitations apply to eligibility for White card holders.

Open Arms.
Our services provides psychological support and counselling through the Open Arms Outreach Program. This means if you are a current serving member of defence, existing serving member of defence, a partner, child, sibling, carer or family member of someone who is serving or has served with defence you can access this service.

Private.
You are welcome to book in with our service without a referral if you want to get started with support & we can always help you access rebates/other referral pathways to assist with funding of sessions.
